I entered the financial industry in April 1980 as a career agent with Canada Life. When the insurance companies entered into a “brokerage” arrangement with their advisors, I incorporated Karl Jung Financial Services Ltd. and selected 8 major Canadian life insurance companies to work with.
My role as an insurance and financial advisor is to assess my clients’ needs and make recommendations from the various life companies I represent. The advantage to those using my services is that I am not limited to one insurance carrier – I have the ability to give multiple quotes from various life insurance companies. The products I use are life and disability insurance policies, group benefit packages and investment vehicles such as GICs, Annuities and Segregated Funds.
To make the most appropriate recommendations I assist clients through the financial, retirement and estate planning process as needed.
I am based in Gibsons, BC where I maintain my home-based office and make weekly trips to the Lower Mainland. In addition, in order to service clients living in other parts of the province, I make annual trips to the Okanagan and Vancouver Island.
Adam Jung, CLU
In 2012 I decided to take the financial courses required to write the provincial exams under the LLQP licensing program. I successfully completed the courses and further studies, ultimately completing the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation program in May of 2019. Presently I am finishing the last course of the Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) designation program, I anticipate to complete it before the end of 2023.
I am currently licensed with 9 major life insurance companies: Canada Life, Empire Life, Manulife, Ivari Life, Industrial Alliance, Equitable Life, Sun Life, Assumption Life and CPP. Now with 10 years of experience I head the insurance division of our practice, and focus on new business development in all areas to grow our practice.
Working on new insurance business is my expertise, I specialize in choosing the best life insurance, disability insurance, critical illness insurance, and group benefits packages for our clients. 90% of our clients choose to complete their applications online over a zoom call, utilizing the e-application software of the insurance carriers mentioned above. I create comprehensive needs analysis, and reports to illustrate insurance & investment strategies that can greatly benefit families, and business owners. Collaboration is welcomed at any possible opportunity, which might include a client’s team of professionals,bringing in tax or legal experts for outside advice, and working with a client to design their insurance solution.
I work throughout the Lower Mainland meeting clients at their home or business, as well as various offices provided by HUB Financial in Richmond, Langley and Vancouver. 2 years ago I decided to move back to Gibsons, BC where I grew up, to work more closely with my Father, and our clients across the Sunshine Coast. I love my hometown, and I’m passionate about volunteering in the community. You will find me each week at the local rec center where I play squash, volunteering at the local food bank, playing golf at our many golf courses (albeit poorly), competing with friends over board games, and hiking the many trails the beautiful Sunshine Coast has to offer.
